Deep in the woods and just around the corner
the wisdom of our ancestors lies hidden
under roots and stones, woven into the breeze,
scattered in the sunlight and shadows.
It calls out to us from the belly of every animal’s cry.
The key to discovering resilience and harmony of creation
is there waiting for each of us willing to listen just a little deeper.

(Volunteer/Internship – 10hrs/month, 1yr commitment)
Apprentices support the Lead Mentor through the entirety of the year, which includes attending eight Saturday nature excursions (September – May, excluding December), eight Thursday evening wisdom councils (6-8 pm), and the 5 day rite-of-passage camp at the end of the school year. We ask for a minimum commitment of one year. With the agreement of their mentor, apprentices may continue to serve with the same group for the whole three year cycle or become a Lead Mentor for a new group of youth.

(On-going and seasonal opportunities)
We have outdoor offerings year-round, rain or shine, including seasonal nature immersion days, a farm & forest kindergarten, afternoon adventures, summer camps, and coming-of-age mentorship/rites of passage. Each program is designed to awaken and cultivate our sense of ecological interdependence, honoring both the wild and contemplative nature of our shared humanity, through free-form exploration and nature co-creation, as well as group-focused projects and skill building opportunities.
Volunteers are such a vital part of Nature’s Mystery Awareness School. Whether you are interested in gaining more experience with outdoor education or have specific skills or modalities that you are excited to share with the youth, we are always excited to further weave the gifts of our community into our programs.
Contact us at email@example.com. In your email, please share a little about yourself and your interest in volunteering. We will get back to you as soon as we are able.
