Forest Guardians Camp

Deep in the Old Growth Forest, where the Spotted Owl and Flying Squirrels swoop down over the Giant Pacific Salamanders and ever elusive Grey Fox we will practice the art of invisibility through camouflage of the body and mind, exploring games and activities to sharpen our senses, listen like the deer, smell like the wolf, see like the eagle, and stalk like the cougar, deepening our awareness and understanding of the flora, the fauna and the native people who have inhabited this land for thousands of years before most of our Grandfather’s Grandmothers came to settle.  We will learn the basics of wildcrafting for food, medicine and natural dyes, practice archery and knife work, swim in the ponds and finish our week with a visit to the neighboring farm, where we will milk the goats and/or cows to make the freshest ice cream imaginable!
