Ancient Pathways Camp

Rites of Passage have been a crucial component of transitioning from one stage of life to the next.  For thousands of years our ancestors have acknowledge this period of transformation in the lives of the youth.  Although we all come from indigenous roots, many of us have lost touch with our ancient cultures and the wisdom that they held. Fortunately, much of that wisdom is contained in the natural world and it is still possible for us to tune our senses and our bodies to it.  By listening to the songs of the flowing waters, the winds and the stones, we can learn to hear our own inner voice calling us to step onto our path.  By attuning to the cycles of the sun and moon, and recognizing our interrelationship with the greater web of life we harness the power to move forward. With the guidance and support of those who have traveled this path before us, we honor young women as they begin to explore roles they will hold as our future leaders.

Registration closed for all Nature’s Mystery Summer Offerings until further notice.

9:00am – 3:00pm (Ages 11-13)

During Ancient Pathways, the girls learn directly from the teachings of the natural world, guided in sense awareness activities, primitive skills projects, and exploration that deepen their knowledge and appreciation for the earth. Stories, songs, and games inspired by their life stage weave together the week with friendship and adventure. Camps will take place at Fern Hill Botanical Sanctuary (25 miles South of Eugene). Rideshare options available.
